This is the grand finale of the Montagu Winter Trail Run Series and what a way to end the winter. African Game Lodge is a stunning venue and you will run through the magnificent Slagkloof. Be on the lookout for wide variety of wildlife: zebra, giraffe, eland, kudu, gemsbuck and many smaller species.

4.8 km Fun Run | 86 m ascent

Brand new trail for the fun-run for 2026. Less climbing and a more thrilling run, we believe this will amazing walk and fun run. Be on the lookout for Eland and Kudu on this route.

12 km Trail Run | 307 m ascent

Slagkloof Trail is a must ! You will run past a waterhole for the animals but the highlight of this trail is the 4km’s through a narrow kloof, the trail is in superb condition (manicured not technical). You will see the Lion King Rock and when you exit the Kloof have the most magnificent views over valleys, hills and mountains even into Montagu at a distance. Spectacular trail!

17.8 km Trail Run | 425 m ascent

Pièce/Trail de Résistance: the Grand Finale sees a longer trail run, going past two watering holes and through the infamous Slagkloof. Stunning scenery, wide variety of wildlife, spectaculor route not to be missed.

Registration: 7:30 am

Event Start: 9 am

Entry fee: R100 & R350

Prize Giving: 11:30

Food & Drinks: for sale at the Lodge

Timing & Medals: Timing & medals only for runners: 5 / 10 or 15km distances. Walkers that would like a medal can request on the day for an additional R30. Walkers entry fee covers participation & water point only.
