Rumali Trail Run….recently taken over and family-run. We are working hard to breathe new life into the farm. We proudly raise ostriches in the summer, grow premium grapes for Montagu Wines and produce olives supplied to the renowned Willow Creek. Our three cottages offers peaceful farm stay experiences for guests looking to unwind in nature.

This event is pet-friendly, so if you want to bring your canine on a leash to run with you…you are at the right place.

EVENT PICS

5.6 km Fun Run | 115 m ascent

Scenic, social and suitable for all fitness levels

Perfect for beginners and casual runners, the 5km fun run shares the same route as the 10km course for the first 3.8km’s – featuring a mix of jeep track and flowing single track to get you moving.

At the 3.8km mark, you’ll continue along the farm roads, skipping the steep mountain climb. Enjoy gentle hills, stunning views and peaceful journey through olive groves and vineyards – offering a relaxed yet rewarding trail experience

8.8 km Trail Run | 398 m ascent

a Rewarding challenge with breathtaking mountain views. Our King stage!

Brand new routes for this year’s trail run, makes the 8.8km a little less challenging than in 2025 but you still get to go to the top of the mountain for breath taking views…and climbs.

More flat road should make for faster finishing times

14km km Trail Run | 617 m ascent

Brand new edition, 14km Trail run. Stunning single track routes in the Rooiberg Mountain Range. Exceptional views with more flat sections added for recovery.

Parking: ample parking at event location

Registration: 7:30 am

Event Start: 9 am

Entry fee: R100 to R350

Prize Giving: 11:30

Food & Drinks: for sale yes

Timing & Medals: Timing & medals only for runners: 5 / 10 or 15km distances. Walkers that would like a medal can request on the day for an additional R30. Walkers entry fee covers participation & water point only.
